 Who is bano qudsia?

Bano Qudsia (1928–2017) was a celebrated Pakistani writer, playwright, and spiritualist best known for her novels and plays in Urdu literature. She was born in Firozpur, British India (now in India), and later migrated to Pakistan after the partition in 1947. Known for her deeply philosophical works, Qudsia explored themes of spirituality, human emotions, societal norms, and existential questions in her writings. Her most famous novel, Raja Gidh (The Vulture King), is considered a masterpiece in Urdu literature, exploring human desires, morality, and the consequences of unethical actions.

Qudsia was married to renowned Pakistani writer Ashfaq Ahmed, and together they formed a highly influential literary couple. Her work went beyond novels to include numerous television dramas, short stories, and essays that left a lasting impact on South Asian literature.
